It is almost time for Valentine’s day.  Maybe even your petites first Valentine’s day.  There are so many amazing options to choose from when it comes to board books.  I wanted to showcase books all about love, I do love books specific to Valentine’s Day, but this way you can share in the love all year long.

Happy Valentine’s Day Mouse by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond this is a perfect book to introduce the If you Give…series.  Mouse is making valentines for his friends and they have to be just perfect.

Lilly’s Chocolate Heart by Kevin Henkes is a cute story about Lilly who has one last chocolate heart left and she searches for the perfect place to hide it and finally decides her mouth is just the right spot.

Where is Baby’s Valentine? by Karen Katz is a really fun book, your petite will love the sparkles and  lifting the sturdy flaps to find Mommy’s special Valentine.

The Biggest Kiss by Joanna Walsh and Judi Abbot is a lovely story of all of the animals who like to kiss.  The illustrations are bright and colorful perfect for entertaining the smallest of petites.

Counting Kisses by Karen Katz will have you smooching your petite in no time, it was named one of the 100 best books for kids by Scholastic.

I Ruff You by Sandra Magsamen is a darling little book with plush ears your petite will enjoy feeling and probably chewing on.  If you happen to have a fur baby at home this will be sure to be a hit.

Huggy Kissy by Leslie Patricelli is about all about love and how different family members show their newest petite how much they love them.

Dinosaur Kisses by David Ezra Stein (who also wrote Interrupting Chicken), in this silly tale Dinah a newly hatched baby is trying lots of things for the first time and she wants to give a kiss.  Petites will be giggling the entire time.

Love and Kisses by Sarah Wilson and Melissa Sweet a charming book about giving kisses and letting them and seeing what happens next.
